How should we then live?

Francis Schaeffer published How Should We Then Live? almost fifty years ago, but the question the title asks is as relevant today — if not more so — as it was back then. The cultural trends he discussed have only intensified over the years. I can’t speak for others, but as a Christian conservative, I’m finding it harder and harder to both be in the world and not of the world while, at the same time, loving my neighbors, especially those who see the world very differently from the way I see it.

My purpose in starting this blog is to have a place to discuss the issues conservative Christians face today — culturally, spiritually, and politically — and to consider what it means to live out our lives in each of these realms in a way that honors God.
