Poetry speaks to us in a more visceral way than prose. I have a bookshelf full of poetry. Among my favorites are Longfellow, Thomas Bailey Aldrich and Ted Kooser.
I love this. I particularly love the double meaning of "tenders" and "present." I also love the way the poem treats time. Thank you, Linda.
